A virtually invisible power park without pollution or spinning blades, designed to become a nursery for sea creatures

The world is turning its gaze to the oceans. We recognize that they protect the earth from overheating, they are home to millions of living species, and that we have to do a better job of protecting them. Seabased has worked for years with scientists and engineers to ensure that our wave power parks disrupt the natural ecosystem as little as possible and can actually protect the ecosystem by serving as an artificial reef

Our generators use no toxins or spinning blades that could threaten the safety of sea animals. Research shows that though our generators make a little noise that local sea life can hear, they seem undisturbed by it.

We can build our generators with bases that have holes the correct shape and size to attract local species looking for a safe place to hide and live. Research shows we’ve been successful. The parks have attracted marine animals who use them as a habitat.

We recognize that local fishing communities are part of that ecosystem, so while Seabased wave power parks do take up some space that might have been devoted to fishing, we have a goal to turn them into breeding grounds to replenish desirable populations both for the fishing industry and for the cause of biodiversity itself.

We’re committed to providing energy that’s good for people and for the planet.
